About Your Author

A college student in search of evidence of transgenderisms in old hollywood. Perhaps a trifle overenthusiatic about my findings. Small victories, gentlemen. Small but happy victories.

  1. i just discovered your blog while looking for information on lillian roth (“i’ll cry tomorrow” was on tcm earlier today) and am intrigued…i’m a gay man in my mid 50s and have always been enamored of old films, particularly those of the pre-code 30s. of the leading men of the era, i’ve always been fascinated by robert montgomery, joel mccrea and charles farrell as beautiful specimens of men with somewhat feminine attributes. i note your inclusion of lee tracy, however i could never get past his nasal vocal delivery, though he was certainly pretty to look at! early randolph scott, too, is fun to look at, unlike his later, angry westerns. i’ll look forward to your future entries!
